What if I want to redistribute copies in order to make a profit?
A nit pick, but as written it seems to imply non-commercial
distribution.


As for the corrolary to 2, does forcing the highest quality
image to be available put a restriction on web servers? If I
have a series of 1920x1200 images, and I want to use some
small thumb nails on my website (possibly due to bandwith
limitations), forcing me to make the high res images available
(and probably using non-lossy compression at that) may
effectively prevent me from using them.

It's effectively going against the 'adapt for your needs' clause.
