Perhaps have the wiki feature available on a request basis?

Then, if a game developer/project would like a wiki
space, then one could be created for them.
So, its available, ready for move in?

I find that wiki's make excellent archives for articles,
but are less useful for hot topics that people want to 
chat about. Once the chat has died down, the "results"
or "concensus" can be worth archiving. Once archived, the
wiki lets people keep the "old data" updated as needed.

As long as the forum has some sort of active announcement
for new topics and updates to existing ones, that come in
e-mail or RSS, it would help me to remember to look in :)

I belong to so many fora that I forget to check in unless
they remind me to, from time to time.
